Surgery: Arm Lift (Brachioplasty, Extended Brachioplasty, Bat Wings Surgery)
An arm lift will remove excess loose or hanging skin under the upper arms.
The exact position and size of the incision will depend upon the surgeon’s technique and the amount of skin to be removed. The scars may extend from the armpit to the elbow.
This procedure is commonly performed after significant weight loss and may be combined with other body lift procedures.

How soon can I have this surgery?
We can secure priority appointments for our clients subject to the surgeon’s availability. However it is best to request an appointment well in advance so that the surgeon can advise you about the steps to take before coming for surgery.
How long does the operation take and will I be asleep?
This procedure takes up to 4-5 hours under general anaesthetic.

How long do I have to stay in Thailand?
The surgeon usually recommends a stay of at least 14 nights in Thailand in total, (based on having surgery the day after arrival). This is to allow you time to recover and to have a follow up consultation with the surgeon and removal of sutures. The surgeon may change the recommended time overseas based on age, medical conditions or where more than one surgery is being performed.

Risks include infection, bleeding/hematoma, poor wound healing, change in skin sensation (numbness), unfavourable scarring, skin contour irregularities, pulmonary embolism due to the freeing of fat or blood clots into the bloodstream, possibility of revisional surgery, and risks associated with anaesthesia. Generally, you will be asked to stop some medications and all vitamin supplements, alcohol and smoking. You must not stop any prescription medications without first consulting your prescribing physician or instruction from the surgeon.

I am well on my way to recovery. I intend going back in 12 months time to have a lower face lift as I am very happy with all other aspects of this surgery experience.
My friend Gayle is extremely happy with her dental work and is now considering 'a boob job!
We are already planning our next trip for Bangkok in August next year. It was so helpful talking to other people over there, about their experiences and of just how many return on a regular basis for all sorts of surgery.
I met Belinda (another Stunning Makeovers client in Bangkok) and her friend. Belinda is a real 'ambassador' for Stunning Makeovers and only has good things to say. You have added another in myself that will highly recommend your company. Having everything planned with pick-up from the airport at the beginning to the airport return at the end was so professionally done, and never with a hiccup or a problem to any of the drivers. They are the most considerate and respectful men I have met as drivers for a long time.
At the Ambassador Hotel, once again, we were met with people trying to help us.
